pumpkin scone

we the Sacrafamilias love our scones, from the usual cinnamon to the chocolate ones, we live them all so this Halloween when I roasted all the pumpkins, I decided to make some scones with the pumpkin puree.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1tablespoon baking powder
1 egg
1 cup butter, cold, cut in cubes
1/4 cup cream
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup chocolate chips




Add flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking powder into the bowl of a stand mixer and beat till all mixed in. Slowly add the butter and then the egg, pumpkin puree and cream.
stop when just mixed in. Empty onto a clean area that has been sprinkled with flour and flatten the dough to a rough circle that is about a half an inch thick. Cut into about 15-16 wedges. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 mins at 425 degrees.
enjoy with some maple butter.
