Ghost-ding

I have nothing against store bought chocolate pudding but what gets to me is the list of long lists of unpronounceable additives that I can almost see my kids ingesting and these Ingredients just hiding in the deep crevices of their intestine plotting to do harm someday, so whenever it is humanly possible to make something from scratch I give it a go.

Ingredients for chocolate pudding

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 cups milk or half and half
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
A pinch of salt

Add milk, cornstarch, sugar and salt into a nonstick pan. A double boiler would work well too. And stir constantly at medium heat till it thickens enough to coat the back of your spoon. Turn off the heat and add the chocolate chips and vanilla.
Since it's close to Halloween, I put it in ghost shaped foil liners, called it "Ghost-ding" and served it to my kids. I let them use M&Ms and white chocolate chips to decorate the ghosts eyes and nose. They loved it.
