Beef meatballs

Meatballs are so easy to make and if you have a budding chef in your house like I do, it's a great thing to do with them. My 5 year old helped me shape the meatballs and did a great job.

Ingredients:
2 pounds organic beef
2 eggs
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
3/4 cup grated cheese (optional)
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2-3 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tablespoon yogurt
1 tsp frozen basil

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and put it in the fridge for about 30 mins or longer. I had mine in the fridge for about 4 hours. When you are ready to form them into balls, pull it out of the fridge and mix it again (just to make sure everything is uniformly mixed) and make walnut sized balls. Get a pan or a Dutch oven hot with some oil and drop the meatballs 6-8 at a time and let it brown on the outside, 2-3 mins and take them out. We just want a nice sear to seal in the juices, the insides will be still raw.
Once you are done searing all the meatballs, put them in a pot with some really good store bought marinara sauce. Or maybe some home made sauce, that was the initial plan but I didn't have time.  Simmer for about 25-30 mins and serve with any pasta of your choice.
